SMG Metals buys and collects scrap bronze and gunmetal from engineering companies, foundries and manufacturers across [London and the South East]. We buy phosphor bronze, aluminium bronze, leaded bronze and gunmetal in all forms, including swarf and turnings, solids, offcuts, castings, bearings, bushes and valve bodies. Many bronze alloys look almost identical but vary a lot in value, so accurate grading matters.
We scan every load on site with our handheld XRF analyser to identify the exact alloy, so you’re never paid a lower price for a higher-value metal. Everything is weighed accurately and paid for instantly by bank transfer. We supply bins to suit your site and collect the same day, using our own vehicles. Keeping different bronzes separate gets you the best price, and we’ll help you set up the right containers. Every collection comes with full duty-of-care paperwork. Call us today to arrange a collection or get a price for your scrap bronze.
We’re specialist buyers of non-ferrous scrap metal, from swarf and offcuts to redundant stock and whole factory clearances. Every load is sorted, graded and weighed accurately on our own scales, so you’re paid a fair price for exactly what you’ve produced. If you’re not sure what your metal is worth, get in touch and we’ll grade it for you.
